“Fairytale” cocktails at the “Safmar Palace Moscow” hotel

A trend to mix strong spirits, sugar, water and bitters dates back more than 300 years. Since then drinks which got the name of cocktails have gone a long way. From simple blends of basic ingredients they turned into art forms. That’s how the hotel’s “Piano Bar” team treats them and makes creative mixtures. The new winter cocktails’ menu of five titles is based on one of the coziest of arts. Fairytales are ideally suitable for the coming New Year, when it is so easy to believe in miracles. popular fairy tales – Flamethrower, Morozko, The Scarlet Flower in the company of their cocktail namesakes. The Flamethrower Cocktail owes it’s pretty orange color, reminding of fire sparks, to sea buckthorn and brandy, and little drops of Earl Grey tea give it slight tangy notes. Bright and rich taste of the Morozko cocktail, reminiscent of classic cream soda lemonade, reminds of a sunny day in a frosty forest. The Tsarevna Swan cocktail, based on coconut liqueur with tequila addition, is white and fluffy, while the Mistress of the Copper Mountain cocktail is emerald-green reminding of malachite. An unusual combination of feijua and tarragon adds fresh notes to this vodka-based cocktail. The Scarlet Flower cocktail is a twist on the classic negroni, and it got it’s scarlet colour from raspberry.
